Our client an international company is recruting a Treasury Accountant

 Primary Purpose

This position is mainly to consolidate cash forecasts reports for the African business, analyse cash movements, prepare disbursement of funds for Africa and payments for local entities. The role also includes maintaining the loan books and support on various Treasury projects.

Responsibilities

  • Consolidate weekly cash forecasts for Africa
  • Analysis of bank balances and cash movements
  • Work closely with African sites for accurate reporting of Treasury data
  • Prepare payment instructions and secure approvals
  • Tracking of funds and ensure funds reach beneficiaries on time
  • Maintaining the loan books
  • Manage banking access for all African entities
  • Maintain good working relationships with banks and other stakeholders
  • Provide Treasury assistance to sites
  • Prepare any ad-hoc reports for Treasury and support on Treasury projects
  • Ensure compliance with the Group Treasury policy
  • Support internal and external audits

Qualifications & Experience

  • ACCA level 3 or fully qualified or Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting or treasury role
  • Proven experience in working in a computerised accounting environment

Skills

  • Good written and spoken English and French
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, administration and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiatives and be proactive
  • Time management skills
  • Good IT knowledge & advanced skills in Microsoft office
  • Proficiency in using Accounting Software.
  • Willing to work extra hours as and when required
  • Good Team player
