Job Description
Our client, in the financial industry, is looking for a Financial Process Automation Engineer.
Main Purpose of Position:
As a Financial Process Automation Engineer within the Group finance environment, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data analytics, automation, and information security principles to support efficiency, automate business processes and incorporation of Artificial Intelligence to enhance decision-making and returns for shareholders.
Your expertise will assist the Group to streamline operational and financial processes, reduce risk, and promote efficiency in producing financial results.
Responsibilities:
1. Data Analytics and Automation:
• Develop and implement advanced analytics solutions to extract valuable insights from organizational data, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
• Create interactive dashboards to visualize key performance indicators, enabling trend identification and informed strategic decision-making.
• Generate custom reports that offer comprehensive insights into organizational data, pinpointing areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify data-related vulnerabilities and recommend strategies for mitigation.
• Utilize data-driven financial modeling techniques to support informed financial decision-making.
2. Automation and Process Optimization:
• Automate manual tasks to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance competitiveness.
• Optimize workflows to streamline processes, increasing operational speed and efficiency.
• Assist clients in ERP implementation, including data migration and financial model development.
• Support migration between accounting packages by ensuring seamless data transition.
3. Technical Proficiency:
• Skills in Microsoft Power applications, such as Query, Power Automate, Power Pivot,
and PowerBI, with proficiency in VBA, Python, SQL and DAX coding.
• Experience with SQL server management studios for database management and manipulation.
• Familiarity with accounting/ERP/POS packages like Sage X3, SAP, React, GAAP, HiPort, HiTrust, Arch etc.
• Mastery of Microsoft 365 applications and Excel Macros for diverse purposes.
Location:
The position is based in Mauritius and will require occasional travel to operating entities outside of Mauritius.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with strong IT/BI skills/certifications or experience. Experience in accounting, investment, finance sectors is a must.
• Certified in relevant data analytics or automation certifications will be advantageous.
• Exposure to coding languages or development of integrations and other development.
• Exposure to database warehouse management specifically SQL server management, studios (SMSS).
• Exposure to bot development or robotics processing automation will be advantageous.
• Proven experience in data analytics, cybersecurity evaluation, and process automation within a professional setting.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills to identify data patterns, security vulnerabilities, and process improvement opportunities.
