Job Title: Accountant

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant. The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, managing inventory accounting, and supporting financial decision-making processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.      Financial Reporting & Accounting:

o    Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

o    Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

o    Prepare and submit periodic management accounts and financial reports.

2.      Bank Reconciliation:

o    Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.

o    Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly, ensuring accuracy in cash flow reporting.

o    Monitor and manage cash transactions, supporting treasury management efforts.

3.      Stock Management & Control:

o    Oversee stock management processes, including stock reconciliations and inventory valuation.

o    Monitor and analyze stock levels, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and financial goals.

o    Implement and maintain robust internal controls over inventory to prevent discrepancies and optimize stock levels.

4.      Budgeting & Forecasting:

o    Assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

o    Support financial planning by providing inventory-related data and insights.

5.      Process Improvement:

o    Identify and implement improvements in stock management and accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

 

Requirements:

·         ACCA Level 2-3 qualification or equivalent.

·         Proven experience in stock management and control.

·         Prior experience managing a team within a finance department.

·         Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

·         Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

·         Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
