Job Description

Committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence, our client, Anahita Estates Ltd, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join their team as the Trainee Land Surveyor for the Property cluster of Alteo.  

Working under the supervision of the Head of the Land Survey Division and closely with the Land Development team, the selected candidate will play an important role through the various tasks more fully listed below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the professional land surveyor in survey related tasks: amongst others, generate plans, maps, reports (survey, EDD, wayleaves) from land surveying activities
  • Generate any associated documents/application forms as required
  • Apply for Parcel Identification Number (PIN), Land Conversion Permit (LCP), Building and Land Use Permit (BLUP), register survey reports and other land survey/construction related activities
  • Coordinate with authorities as and when required for follow up on applications
  • Effect Searches at the Registrar General, Ministry of Housing & Land Use Planning and any other relevant institutions
  • Fully manage lease agreement contracts as required
  • Manage/update the masterfile of Alteo's immovable land assets portfolio
  • Manage/update the associated Fixed Asset Registry of the land holdings of the Company
  • Assist the project development team and other personnel with regards to land surveying matters
  • Effective liaison with in-house personnel and outside officials, consultants and other relevant third parties

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma in Land Surveying from the University of Mauritius or any other recognized institution
  • Proficient with the use of AutoCAD software and MS Office
  • Outgoing personality, self-motivated and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English)
  • Ability to work outside office hours when required
  • Past experience in field surveys and associated office works is required
  • Good knowledge of land laws and associated prevailing regulations will be a definite advantage
  • Exposure to GNSS technology, Total stations, GIS technology and drone mapping will be an advantage
