Your responsibilities will include:

• Posting and reconciling transactions, including bank, assets, securities and non-cash transactions on a multi-currency bookkeeping system
• Maintaining client records to enable timely production of financial statements
• Liaising with administrators regarding bookkeeping discrepancies and queries
• Reviewing minute books, statutory records, trust documents and correspondence files
• Assisting in maintaining the integrity of accounting records for clients
• Ensuring AUM values are input each quarter for all portfolios on Asset Register
• Ensuring KPIs are targets are met each month
• Maintaining a sound technical knowledge of our various computer systems
• Reviewing exception reports on a daily basis and clearing exceptions arising
• Attending to queries efficiently and promptly
• Adopting a high-quality culture to minimise error ensuring quality service levels of and high standards are delivered

Your qualifications and skills include:

• High school certification
• A relevant qualification in the field of Bookkeeping, Accounting, Banking, Finance or Business is a plus
• Relevant work experience within the field and strong knowledge of computerised accounting systems is an advantage
• General knowledge of trust and banking practices
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the banking/financial services sector.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, VBA).
  • Experience with financial reporting software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with performance analysis techniques.

Our client is recruiting a Junior Accountant to report to the Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Generate financial reports such as cashbooks, bank reconciliations, debtors and creditors reports and any other relevant reports as requested by the senior accountants;
• Generate management accounts on a periodic basis or at such intervals as may be requested.
• Assist senior accountants with all filing formalities
• Input accounting transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations on the chosen accounting software (FYI: Quickbooks);
• Assist the senior accountants with the preparation of IFRS financial statements where needed
• Assist the senior accountants in handling audit queries
• Assist the senior accountants with the preparation and filing of all tax returns whether annual, APS, VAT and/or TDS as the case may be
• Assist the senior accountants with completion and submission of FSC Surveys

Qualifications and Education   

• University Degree(Bac+3/Undergarduate)       
• ACCA Level 1 minimum (preferably well into level 2)
• 3 years minimum experience in accounting

• Excellent communication skills              
• Fluent in both written and spoken French and English
