Job Description
Our client an international company is recruiting a Senior Financial Reporting Specialist
Purpose
To engage in to the daily, monthly, quarterly, half year and year-end corporate (NL/Lux/UK) and sales (CH/UAE) entities accounting and reporting processes. Production of monthly accounts, quarterly forecast, annual budget, management reports, annual/semi-annual financial statements and other reports for assigned entities. Functional responsibility for assigned entities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Timely, complete and accurate record keeping and preparation of monthly accounts for assigned corporate and sales entities, which includes but is not limited to:
- posting journals and keeping the GL up to date,
- preparing account reconciliations and monthly Management reporting,
- preparing accounting for investment and treasury activities (such as borrowings, and acquisition and disposal activities),
- intercompany accounting and reconciliation,
- review of entity-specific work prepared by accounts payable team,
- management and other cost recharges calculation and billing,
- project cost accounting,
- monitoring VAT,
- cash flow monitoring,
- preparation of technical accounting papers and analysis,
- preparation overall analytical review of accounts for issues to be brought to the management attention,
- assisting reporting team to meet the deadlines and deliverables,
- back-up month end duties assigned to other reporting specialist,
- peer review of other assigned entities accounts workings, supervising reporting staff (if any).
2. Responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts under local GAAP, IFRS, including cash flow preparation, annual impairment accounting review and, where applicable, conversion to IFRS. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
3. To prepare monthly reports such as Management report, reports as per Group reporting requirements, 12-week cash forecast, weekly aging reports, weekly payments plan, department cost reports and analysis to facilitate cost monitoring and control. Ensure that the reports are accurate, timely and consistent.
4. To prepare quarterly forecasts, annual budget, cash flow forecasts and other monthly report submissions to the Group budgeting and analysis and treasury team. Ensure that the reports are accurate, timely and consistent.
5. To take a leadership role in the day to day management and delivery of ad hoc finance-based projects and initiatives (such as restructuring, set up of accounting system for newly acquired entities, analysis of technical accounting issues, etc.) as identified by the Head of FRSS.
6. Document head office accounting policies and procedures, to identify potential improvements to processes and assist the team lead in delivering identified improvements
7. To identify potential improvements to accounting and reporting processes and provide assistance in the continuing development and efficiencies of the Financial Reporting Shared Services department. To assist in providing coaching to newly hired specialist and junior specialist with regards to technical understanding and process management.
Key Requirements
Experience: At least 4 years of post-qualification experience and involvement in a wide variety of accounting skills.
Professional skills: Qualified Accountant – Local professional certification, international professional qualification (e.g. ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong IFRS knowledge,
- SAP, HFM experience preferred.

Language skills: Proficient in verbal and written English
