Our client, Grays Inc Ltd is recruiting a Brand Specialist

Purpose of the Job:  

To build profitable brands that delight consumers and deliver on sustainable business and commercial growth objectives.  Develop a deep understanding of the market, consumer preferences within your market, ensuring all brand and marketing activities are rooted in category and consumer insight and complemented by a solid understanding of market and competitor dynamics, using your marketing expertise to deliver excellence on brand strategy, development, and activation.

Manage and coordinate all marketing activities of the brands in accordance with the goals and objectives of the organization to safeguard and grow the assets of the organization for future generations while providing sound returns to current owners.

Marketing of company and its services to increase our reach to clients and traffic in shops & e commerce.

 Key/Primary Responsibilities

Develop the brand strategy and brand toolkit elements

  • Ensure all brand positioning and development elements are developed to be aligned to the brand strategy in collaboration with the Marketing manager
  • Work with BU Manager & Assistant Manager, Retail Operations to Ensure Overall Brand Health targets achieved, (Volume, Value & GI)
  • Develops Integrated Brand plans
  • Collects information and work with market research agencies to inform brand plans
  • Control marketing spent

 Deliver relevant creative assets and executes in market

  • Develop and deliver marketing activities that contribute to the achievement of the desired consumer experience
  • Review brand performance with BU Manager and provide inputs on actions required to address brand performance
  • Develop and implement integrated marketing communications campaigns using both physical and digital tools
  • Develop the brand toolkits for brands that are relevant to the consumer
  • Review BU’s Monthly performance trackers with prioritised and aligned corrective actions in place
  • Drive execution of brand plan within agreed guardrails for the brand
  • Manage specific brand projects from concept to execution (end to end)
  • Assertive in ensuring procurement commitments are met and proactively follows up to ensure OTIF delivery
  • Ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the department are effectively and efficiently coordinated and implemented and conducted within the framework agreed to by the strategy and the board.
  • Control the marketing spend per brand according to budget.
  • Report on marketing activities
  • Maintain competitor monitoring / business intelligence
  • Spend a minimum of 3 days per month Days in the trade

Innovation

  • Participate in reviews of marketing activities using measurement data and analytics to identify improvements
  • Deliver innovative thinking on product, communication and engagement solutions    
  • Assist NPD Colleagues with culling BOM creation etc when needed

 Customer & Stakeholder Relationship Results

  • Develop a strong network of internal stakeholders to drive brand performance (trade marketing, sales, BU manager, supply chain, procurement)
  • Collaboratively develop the brand strategies with inputs from key stakeholders, and provides subsequent input into development of brand plans and relevant support for their execution
  • Use influencing skills to ensure that the quarterly plans close all short-term tactical response gaps required on the brand
  • Maintain and share with colleagues as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant product knowledge and procedures; tariffs and duties; licenses and restrictions.

 Education and Experience Requirements

  • 5 years in an FMCG marketing role
  • Passion for building brands
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently
  • Event organisational skills will be and advantage
