Job Description
Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for an Assistant Sales Manager
Duties
- Provide the Sales Manager and the Company with updated market information in respect of product lines
- Assist the Sales Manager in controlling distribution channels
- Assist the Sales Manager in planning and scheduling product deliveries
- Along with the Sales Team, process orders, prepare quotes as required
- Assist the Sales Manager in evaluating demand and priorities orders accordingly
- Assist the Sales Manager in developing sales forecast
- Assist the Sales Manager to prepare yearly sales Budget
- To work on sales analysis for different customers
- To ensure that all invoices are checked and sent to the account department within 48 hours
- Assist the Sales Manager to reply to tenders
- To reply to customer’s requirements within 24 hours
- Continually meet customers satisfaction and maintain good business relationships and networking, with a view to understanding customer needs
- Plan and carry out direct sales and marketing activities
- Align with Manager’s sales strategies and objectives
- Promote actual products and services
- Achieve sales targets
- Represent the Company in Sales and Marketing events, including fairs, sales events, etc.
- Any cognate duties as assigned by Sales Manager and Managing Director
Applicant profile
- Holder of a Diploma in Sales/ Marketing/ Communication or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a Sales/ Marketing/ Communication or related function
- Conversant with MS Office and specialist knowledge of Excel
- Ability to analyze and interpret data
- Good time management skills
- Ability to prioritize
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build and maintain rapport with clients and stakeholders
- Prior experience in production planning is a definite plus
- Understanding of product and product lines
