Our Client in the Manufacturing sector is looking for a Production & Quality Officer
Requirements
- To oversee & monitor the production process & draw a production schedule on a daily basis and as needed
- To ensure that the production is cost effective with low over time and high efficiency rates
- To closely monitor products standards and ISO & HACCP procedures and to implement technical and quality instructions as and when required
- To make sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality, and correct quantity produced
- To estimate cost / cycle times and to implement setting up of quality standards
- To optimise the human resources and material resources
- Daily monitoring of leaves and control of absences
- To maintain high discipline level in the factory
- To maintain high level of housekeeping on production floor and in the yard
- To follow up on customer complaints and implement preventive and corrective actions as and when required
- To participate in the selection of new equipment
- To liaise with suppliers (local & external) for spare parts & raw materials and to maintain reasonable stock level with accurate stock and cost control
- To ensure proper coordination with efficient and quick replies to correspondences and email from different departments and Management
- To update and follow-up maintenance tasks and planning of all production equipment and buildings
- To evaluate/recommend subcontractors and to do follow up of production and quality of jobs given
- To participate in Safety &Health committee and ensure that guidelines and recommendations are followed and implemented. To be responsible of safety and health of workers during working hours
- To implement the company’s policies and objectives, and to supervise and motivate production and quality team to achieve targets
- To give adequate supports to production and quality team
- To ensure proper factory shut down in case of emergency, cyclone and end of year closure
- To review and monitor employee’s performance at least once a year
- Establish and implement management systems, standards and ensure continual improvement of same
- Translate quality systems requirements into operational parameters and ensure compliance to same
- Monitor performance of products at all stages from design to production
- Responsible for Quality Control/ Quality Assurance across product lines
- Lead the Quality Team in trouble shooting problems
- Participate in the development of product specifications
- Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and determine control measures to be implemented at these points
- Prepare reports regarding nonconforming products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses
- Investigate customer complaints regarding quality issues and come up with solutions
- Ensure that the organization is compliant to applicable legal requirements
- Monitor the implementation of OSHA requirements within the organization
- Keeping accurate document and perform statistical analysis
- Attend meetings and submit reports
- Perform internal audits
- Liaise with customers on quality related issues
- Maintain the documentations for the management systems in place updated
- Train personnel in the implementation of documented management systems
- Liaise with the certification body on certification matters
- Any other cognate duties
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in a Quality Control/ Quality Assurance/ process related environment, preferably in a Manufacturing/ Production environment
- Degree in Production Management, Quality or relevant field
- Thorough knowledge of Production process, QMS, EMS, Food Safety, and auditing standards
- Previous experience in auditing management systems
- Training experience
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Computer proficient and at ease with MS Office
- Good communication, interpersonal and listening skills
- Meticulous with a high level of attention to details
- Problem solving attributes
- Ability to take initiatives and responsibilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to interact with personnel at various levels including operatives
