Job Description
Our client in the financial sector is recruiting a Team Leader – Issuing (Cards Department)
Job Purpose:
Derive analytical insights from datasets to solve key business problems and improve business profitability metrics, coordinate projects and work across functions and external providers to achieve department objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with the Data Analytics team and consultants to optimize and automate dashboards and periodic reports showing key information and deriving business insights
- Use data to identify trends/opportunities and recommend solutions
- Work hand in hand with the Sales team to monitor and improve card sales and activation
- Develop an understanding of the profitability metrics of the business, conduct regular reviews and implement initiatives to improve profitability.
- Develop an understanding of local and international emerging offerings, technology, processes and trends impacting the business
- Use industry research to assist in building business cases to achieve departmental objectives
- Work in collaboration with Marketing and Communication team on specific campaigns that promote card products
- Supervise specific/related tasks of team members
- Coach and develop team, identify areas of focus and opportunity within their performance.
Candidate profile:
- Degree in Computer Science /Statistics or other related subjects
- At least 3-5 years working experience in a similar technical and/or business environment
- Proven cross functional collaboration
- Understanding of SQL, database structure and data warehousing is advantageous
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, external data sources)
- PowerPoint presentation skills
- Good oral and written communication skills (French and English)
- Sound understanding of Financials
