Job Description

Our client in the offshore industry is recruiting a Corporate Services Officer

Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the affairs of a portfolio of clients and provide assistance to the team of client administrators and accountants.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Client Service

  • Assume responsibility for achieving a high standard of client service ensuring that client expectations are exceeded. Develop relationships with clients and intermediaries so as to be seen as the key point of contact
  • Be aware of risk factors and refer important issues upwards, exercising judgment as to when help is needed from team lead

Day to Day Administration

  • Take primary responsibility for the timely delivery of administration services to your portfolio of companies.
  • Take primary responsibility for the timely delivery of all incorporation of companies of your portfolio.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed records are maintained for all client structures within the portfolio and on Microgen and within the respective company files.
  • Ensure turnaround time relating to client correspondence and incorporation is as short as possible.
  • Attend client meetings when required and ensure preparation of relevant meeting material and minutes.
  • Ensure that outstanding review points of the previous meetings are dealt with within the set time frame.
  • Take primary responsibility within your team for the timely submission of corporate income tax returns, APS, PAYE, TDS, VAT and other.
  • Preparation and review of daily client payments for your portfolio to ensure correctness, completeness and compliance.
  • Ensure annual reviews are diligently dealt with within your portfolio and all action points / step plans following detailed review of the files are dealt with to protect both ourselves and
  • from a compliance, risk and good governance perspective.
  • Follow the correct procedures and controls throughout the life of a structure.

Compliance and Regulation

  • Maintain an awareness of the legal and regulatory framework both in Mauritius and other relevant jurisdictions.
  • Understand and apply the Company’s compliance policies and procedures in respect of sanctions, AML and Anti-Bribery. Report suspicious transactions and complaints in accordance with the procedures and guide colleagues accordingly.
  • Be well versed with the Mauritius Companies Act, Financial Services Commission Guidelines and Regulations.

Financial Management

  • Regularly review debtors for your portfolio of companies and take action to recover debts within agreed timeframes


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ideally be a degree holder in Management or Finance (or similar qualification)
  • 3 to 4 years’ experience in the offshore industry, in a similar role


  • The candidate will and be fluent in English
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communications skills, written and spoken, with clients
  • Attention to detail and risk assessment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to form part of a team
