Job Description

Our client, is currently looking for a Technical Support Officer 

The primary role of the Technical Support Officer is to assist with providing technical support to the audit and accounting teams (internal), developing training material and presenting training internally as well as preparation for and participation in local and global technical accounting specialist groups. Focus will be specifically on technical accounting and auditing standards.

The IFRS Technical Support Officer will, inter-alia, be responsible for:


 Provide the necessary coaching to the team to improve the quality of the engagement file;

 Technical accounting consultations with the accounting/ audit teams and/or clients;
 Draft technical accounting opinions;
 Draft and distribute communications regarding changes to IFRS methodology, tools, standards and procedures;

 Draft thought leadership articles for internal publication/ use;
Assistance on implementation projects for new standards (e.g. - IFRS 17);
Prepare and present IFRS training to staff as well as clients 
 Ensure engagement delivery meets all compliance requirements (laws and regulations, company Methodology, ISA, IFRS etc.);

Work as part of an integrated growing team.

Minimum requirements (qualifications and experience)

ACCA member (or equivalent) with minimum 5 years working experience in the auditing/ accounting fields (preferably in professional practice).
